Dear all (with apologies for cross-posting),
I thought members of this list might like to know about our next online
discussion, which will take place on Thursday 21 July at 12 noon and the
topic is instructor perceptions of student information literacy:
http://infolitjournalclub.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/instructor-perceptions-of-student.html
For anyone who hasn't heard of this online journal club before: we pick
an article, someone (often the author) writes a blog post to kick off
the discussion and at a set time we have a discussion in the comments
section of the blog. It's a deliberate decision to use blog comments
because it's more inclusive (not limited to Twitter users), easier to
follow threads of the conversation, easier to post more nuanced comments
than it is when you're limited 140 characters and it raises the profile
of the article over a longer time period. Also if someone is interested
but unable to join at the agreed time, they can still contribute to the
discussions afterwards.
I hope some of you will join the discussions! If you'd like to find out
more or suggest future papers to discuss just let me know.
Best wishes,
Niamh
