The group used the impact questionnaire, a survey of the Fully Compliant sections of LQAF and an extensive review of the literature to inform it.
The Brettle, Maden & Payne paper was part of the body of evidence, Alison Brettle was on the Task & Finish Group and was commissioned to develop the mapping toolkit. We also had a virtual reference group to test thinking, recruited from known experts and people with an interest who volunteered.
It has been a fairly long, robust process for a short number of questions.

Did the Task & Finish Group use Brettle, Maden & Payne (2016) to devise this toolkit?
As this seems to go against the conclusions of what they found?

Hi Matt,
The Impact toolkit went on the KfH website this week: http://kfh.libraryservices.nhs.uk/value-and-impact-toolkit/kfh-impact-tools/generic-questionnaire/
The launch should hopefully be next, we are just doing last minute checks.
The generic questionnaire is designed to cover impact for different services. You can adapt it, but for nationally collection purposes, we ask that people include these core questions as is.
The task & finish group will be staying together for another year to look to see if there is a need for more specialised impact forms, the evaluation of current toolkit and will also be looking into how to collect and use the data from it for national advocacy.
Best wishes
