In April 2016, we announced our commitment to engage with archive professionals and other stakeholders on shaping a new future for the archive sector in England, building on the success of Archives for the 21st Century.
'Archives Inspire a new vision on Digital', is an opportunity for delegates from the across the archive sector and other related sectors to explore the varied and innovative ways in which archives can meet the digital challenges on a local, national and international level. We will also be asking for help in shaping the new vision for digital transformation in the sector.
During the morning of the event, we will have the opportunity to hear from the Minster for The National Archives, Baroness Neville-Rolfe DBE, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State and Minister for Intellectual Property; from Jeff James, Chief Executive and Keeper, and from John Sheridan, Digital Director, on The National Archives' digital focus as underpinned by Archives Inspire, our four-year strategy.
The afternoon session will include an engaging workshop that will give delegates the opportunity to help inform the new digital vision for archives, and The National Archives' digital offer for the archive sector.
We hope you can join us!
