The Department of Anthropology and Sociology invites applications for a 12 months fixed term Lectureship in Anthropology tenable from September 2016.
You will be expected to convene and teach core theory and optional regional/thematic modules in social/cultural anthropology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and assume normal administrative tasks associated with a Lectureship.
You must have a PhD in Social or Cultural Anthropology and a record of excellence in research in Anthropology as evidenced by high quality professional publications. We are primarily seeking a candidate with teaching and research interests in anthropological theory, methodology and history. The ability to teach West African ethnography would be an additional advantage. It is expected that you will have expertise relevant to the vision and strategy of the School, including a strong interest in issues of particular importance to the developing world.
