Pat, yours reminded me of this Siedel whom we have been discussing
elsewhere in poetryetc. He said, less controversially than in other things,
that I feel when I’m not writing, less well than when I am. When I am
writing, I feel that my life is busy. That I’m a creature with a purpose.
When I’m not, I feel a bit floaty. Sometimes, not always, that’s not a
pleasant feeling.
Maybe your floating has stopped and you've managed to settle.
