For those BGA members who are not members of the
GeolSoc but want to arrange suitable activities, we'll see
what we can do, or you can find a GeolSoc member
to help you, to obtain a small grant (up to £150) from
the GeolSoc to support your activity. The GeolSoc newsletter
item on this follows.
Regards,

Running alongside Earth Science Week in America <http://report.mynewsletterbuilder.com/t.js?s=575ee835ddb36d94398b7e52&u=36358230&v=3&key=652c&skey=e644d282ba&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.earthsciweek.org%2F>, this 9 day long celebration is an opportunity to engage with and explore the geology all around the UK and Ireland.
Our theme for 2016, to celebrate the launch of our new careers pages <http://report.mynewsletterbuilder.com/t.js?s=575ee835ddb36d94398b7e52&u=36358232&v=3&key=1ab1&skey=e644d282ba&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.geolsoc.org.uk%2Fcareers%3Futm_medium%3Demail%26utm_source%3DMyNewsletterBuilder%26utm_content%3D%23subscriber_id%23%26utm_campaign%3DHolding%2Ban%2Bevent%2Bin%2BEarth%2BScience%2BWeek%2BApply%2Bfor%2Ba%2Bsmall%2Bgrant%2B1412639000%26utm_term%3Dnew%2Bcareers%2Bpages>, is *‘Earth Science in Action’* – focusing on the amazing opportunities a career in Earth science brings.
*Events*
Last year we had over 50 events <http://report.mynewsletterbuilder.com/t.js?s=575ee835ddb36d94398b7e52&u=36358234&v=3&key=2c0b&skey=e644d282ba&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.geolsoc.org.uk%2FEducation-and-Careers%2FEarth-Science-Week%2FESW-15-Events-Calendar%3Futm_medium%3Demail%26utm_source%3DMyNewsletterBuilder%26utm_content%3D%23subscriber_id%23%26utm_campaign%3DHolding%2Ban%2Bevent%2Bin%2BEarth%2BScience%2BWeek%2BApply%2Bfor%2Ba%2Bsmall%2Bgrant%2B1412639000%26utm_term%3DLast%2Byear%2Bwe%2Bhad%2Bover%2B50%2Bevents> and the calendar is already filling up for 2016. We’d love to hear from anyone interested in running an event; all ideas are welcome. From geowalks to talks, handling sessions, school workshops or anything else you have in mind!
To support your events we have a number of small grants available <http://report.mynewsletterbuilder.com/t.js?s=575ee835ddb36d94398b7e52&u=36358236&v=3&key=cc27&skey=e644d282ba&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.geolsoc.org.uk%2Fearthscienceweek%3Futm_medium%3Demail%26utm_source%3DMyNewsletterBuilder%26utm_content%3D%23subscriber_id%23%26utm_campaign%3DHolding%2Ban%2Bevent%2Bin%2BEarth%2BScience%2BWeek%2BApply%2Bfor%2Ba%2Bsmall%2Bgrant%2B1412639000%26utm_term%3Da%2Bnumber%2Bof%2Bsmall%2Bgrants%2Bavailable>;up to £150.
