You will be working to lead the research impact analysis programme, which shapes an innovative plan of work to understand and track how impact arises and evidence the value of research programmes.

Role purpose
To develop and implement strategic capacity and innovative methodology in evaluation analysis
To co-ordinate and enrich the infrastructure, analysis and dissemination of information relating to outputs, outcomes and impacts of MRC funded research for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Responsibility for our input into the strategic direction and development of our data gathering system (researchfish®), its implementation and how the data is used within MRC, across the Research Councils and more broadly within the research community
Represent MRC in cross-council groups or projects, providing advice crucial to the leadership, strategic direction and maintenance of key stakeholder relationships

About you
You will have excellent statistical and modelling skills, be ready to develop and pilot new ways of utilising existing data, and have an enthusiastic, organized and collaborative approach to projects.
To join us you will need:
. Education to a degree level or equivalent, with qualifications in SQL Server 2005 and Server Management Studio (or equivalent)
. Skills and experience in data management and reporting tools, including advanced Excel skills
. Proven analytical skills with experience working with complex data collection and analysis
. The ability to develop new analysis methods to support an organisation's strategic needs
. Experience in stakeholder management, allowing effective dissemination of information, introduction of new ideas and developing productive relationships
The role requires some travel between sites (Swindon and London).
