Kaycee Moore in Killer of Sheep by Charles Burnett
Dear friends, colleagues, film loving comrades,
For the month of June, my feminist blog, Who Cares About Actresses<http://www.whocaresaboutactresses.tumblr.com>, is looking at great actress performances. Whether you're a filmmaker, actor, film critic, or movie/theater lover, we all remember transformative performances by actresses that have affected us in one way or another. It doesn't matter if you work in an area completely unrelated to film; performances have the power to totally change who we are and how we live our lives. WCAA wants to hear from you about the actresses and performances that have moved you.
Please consider submitting a short text, a rare image, a quote, or a gif. We're looking for actresses across genres and worlds, but especially those actresses that aren't given their due credit now or in the past. (On that note, please no red carpet photos.)
All the information on how to contribute, including a bunch of great posts for inspiration, is here.<http://whocaresaboutactresses.tumblr.com/post/143747584116/wcaa-call-for-submissions-performances-by> Email all submissions to [log in to unmask]<http://gmail.com>.
Warmly,
Elisabeth & Olivia (WCAA research intern)
