Dear list,
my apologies, I have seen this question a couple of times on the list but never found a satisfactory answer:
I want to perform a ROI analysis using anatomical masks taken from the WFU PickAtlas. The binary masks returned by PickAtlas have the size (91 x 109 x 91). However, my statistical maps (and the normalized/warped .nii images they are based on) have the dimensions (79 x 95 x 68). Both are in MNI space but differ in the size so my question is: what's the best way to adjust the binary masks to match my maps (this is the option I would prefer)?
I normalize using SPM's 'spm_write_sn(files,matname,norm.write)' function. The bounding box is defined as follows:
norm.write.bb = [ -78 -112 -50; 78 76 85];
The voxelsize is 2x2x2mm isotropic. I saved a simple binary mask using the HUMAN ATLAS and TD-ICBM HUMAN ATLAS in PickAtlas.
I'm running SPM12, Matlab 2015b, PickAtlas (latest) on Ubuntu 15.04.
Some people have suggested reslicing the binary mask using SPM's 'spm_reslice' function. Is this the way to go?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Best,
Janto
