Lecturer in Sociology, Social Policy & Criminology (4 Posts)
£32,600 - £37,768 pa
We welcome applications from individuals with a wide range of interests and in particular from individuals teaching and researching in the areas of social policy, community and housing; medical sociology and health policy; international and comparative sociology; migration and policy at the borders and critical criminology and policing. We make an exceptional contribution to research methods training for students at the University and in the wider region. You should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in sociology or criminology with good quantitative skills, an interest in exploring critical social policy, big data, media analysis and radical statistics and using visual methods in your research. You will share our commitment to the student experience, in particular, through excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and a commitment to innovative delivery methods. You will also be willing to undertake research supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
