Dear all
Just a quick intervention to head off a misunderstanding. Everyone who has had an abstract accepted will automatically be given a place at the Leeds conference. The Conference Admin would just like people to confirm they are coming, in case you regrettably had to drop out.
Hope that allays any fears!
Best,
ian

Subject: Re: SRN CONFERENCE
Dear Anna,
I had already announced the acceptance of my proposal of paper to the director of my research lab, with a formal request for financial contribution to the costs of the conference.
I then wrote him about the change of the conference location, without knowing that this change would possibly have consequences for my paper.
So now that the procedure for funding is taking its course and the response might will fall rapidly, I am supposed to submit again, at the risk that my proposal will be refused?
Sorry, but your request put me in a very unconfortable situation.
I understand everybody in Leeds (and elsewhere) is making huge efforts to make things work in a very short lapse of time, and I am really grateful.
But it might be hard for me to justify your request for resubmitting vis-à-vis my research department.
Can you help giving me arguments to justify it?
Thank you in advance for your understanding, and, once again, thank you to all the team for allowing the running of 2016 SRN conference.
Warm regards
Marida Di Crosta

Objet: SRN CONFERENCE
Dear Colleagues,
As you may already be aware, this year's SRN conference will no longer be taking place in Stockholm but has been moved to Leeds in the North of England where it will be hosted by Leeds Beckett University in partnership with Leeds University and Leeds Trinity University.
I would like to introduce myself as Conference Director and my colleague Katie Johnson who will be acting as the Event Organiser. Contact details for both of us are below.
We are in the process of setting up a registration system for payment of fees which should be available next week. Meanwhile we would be grateful if anyone intending to attend could inform Katie on the email below as soon as possible so that we can begin to estimate numbers.
Due to the change of location we will be briefly re-opening the call for papers. Please send abstracts to me rather than Katie by 14.00 BST on Monday, 13 June for consideration. Decisions will be made as quickly as possible.
We will be in touch again with further details of registration and fees shortly. In the meantime, thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing many of you in Leeds in September.
Best wishes,
Rob and Katie
