Hi all,
Posting on behalf of one of my Interpretation colleagues who is in the process of joining the list. He’s looking for advice on encouraging people (families in this case) to engage in digital activities, e.g. posting on social media, while following a paper-based trail around one of our sites.
Here’s Nick’s query:
“Does anybody have any experience of creating trails [on paper] which include digital response activities?
The one I am creating encourages families to upload digital content collected while doing the trail (photos mainly) to social media. The designers have asked if we have done anything similar before they could look at with regards to the wording they should use on paper.”
Do any museum digital or social bods have any advice for killer wording that encourages engagement? Is less more? Will twitter/FB/IG logos suffice, or are people a bit blind to those now? I’ve already pointed Nick in the direction of Andrew Lewis’s museum phone signage storify.
If anyone would like to get in touch with Nick directly, he’s [log in to unmask]
Thanks in advance,
Lizzy
