With changes in the support students receive from the DSA, (Disabled Students Allowance), this is an exciting time to join Library Services as we work with the rest of the university to create a more inclusive environment and service for all our students and staff.

We were awarded Investors in People gold accreditation in 2015 and are committed to fully supporting our staff in their continuing professional development. We support a large and diverse student body, both in the UK and internationally, with our growing digital collections and services.
Library Services is looking for a candidate who has a professional library/information qualification via CILIP-approved routes. The individual will have experience of providing enquiry services and supporting disabled users. They will be well motivated to learn and develop whilst working collaboratively with colleagues throughout the university.
The main areas of work include:
• Supporting enquiry services including face-to-face, via email and through our chat service (synchronous online text based enquiry support).
• Developing expertise to be able to support our Alternative Formats Service and assistive technologies.
• Acting as a supervisor, or manager, within the team to support objectives and work streams
• Developing, and maintaining, productive working relationships within Library Services and in the wider university to support service delivery.
• To make accurate and effective use of computerised office systems (including, Microsoft Office applications, Library Management System and other web technologies) and to analyse and interpret data.
