ACAMH Jack Tizard conference 2016: trauma and abuse, 6 June
The Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health run their Jack Tizard memorial lecture and annual conference in summer each year, and 2016’s event on 6 June focusses on trauma and abuse.
This event hosts a plethora of expert speakers, all outstanding researchers and practitioners, who will talk about their recent research on trauma and abuse, and its implications for practice with children and young people.
Topics covered include:
• The neuroscience of trauma and abuse
• Early parenting and attachment interventions
• CBT for post-traumatic stress
• Family therapy.
The keynote speaker is Professor Mary Dozier (University of Delaware) who will deliver the memorial lecture on ‘Research on interventions for children brought up in adverse circumstances, and its scientific underpinnings.’
Standard tickets are £165, with a discounted rate of £140 for ACAMH members, and special discounts for students/trainees and those who are retired.
