Hi everyone,
Some days ago I sent a question about my higher-level analysis. Hereby some more information about the analyses I tried to run:
We had two sessions in our experiment and we set up the analyses to test whether there was a session-effect. We set up 1 EV for Session, 1 EV per participant (N=40) + 4 EVs for covariates. Thus, in total we had 45 EVs and 80 inputs (2 inputs per participant: 1 input for session 1, 1 input for session 2). In this model we set up 2 contrasts to test whether there was a session-effect (contrast 1: session 1 - session 2, contrast 2: session 2 - session 1) and 2 contrasts to test whether there was an interaction-effect between 1 of our covariates and session (contrast 3: interaction for session 1 - session 2, contrast 4: interaction for session 2 - session 1).
Unfortunately, FSL didn't finish the higher-level analyses and the following error messages were displayed in the log of the different contrasts:
An exception has been thrown
Runtime error:- detected by Newmat: Overflow in exponential
Trace: LogAndSign::Value; Determinant; Gsmanager::multitfit; Gsmanager::f_mcmc_contrast; Gsmanager::flame2_contrasts; Gsmanager::run.
Does anyone know what could have led to this error?
Best,
Esther

Subject: [FSL] Overflow error higher-level analyses
Hi everyone,
I get the following error message when I run my higher-level-analyses:
An exception has been thrown
Runtime error:- detected by Newmat: Overflow in exponential
Trace: LogAndSign::Value; Determinant; Gsmanager::multitfit; Gsmanager::f_mcmc_contrast; Gsmanager::flame2_contrasts; Gsmanager::run.
Do you have any idea what could be the cause of this error message?
Thanks,
Esther
