To celebrate Malcolm X’s birthday we are holding a study circle to explore a key aspect of Malcolm’s legacy. Malcolm transformed his life from street hustler to activist by reading and studying while he was in prison. The focus on the session will be the importance of Black Studies, using Malcolm’s journey as an example. We will also be talking about BCU launching the first Black Studies undergraduate degree<http://search.ucas.com/course/summary/758405/black-studies?Vac=1&AvailableIn=2017&Query=black%20studies&IsFeatherProcessed=True&ret=providers> in Europe, to start in
September 2017.
On the day there will also be a book-swap, so just bring along a book to participate.
Event is free and all are welcome.
