Cambridge University Library (CUL) is planning to source and implement a
new archival management system (AMS) for use by the Cambridge University
Libraries, Colleges and other institutions associated with the
University of Cambridge.
We have an initial requirement for an experienced consultant, with
archives and/or extensive library experience, with an understanding of
the hierarchical nature of archival cataloguing and the relevant
archival standards, for the first phase of the project which should take
approximately 2-3 months duration to complete. The consultant will work
alongside the custodians of our archives, manuscripts and records to
identify and analyse requirements, prepare a formal business case for
approval and identify a range of potential products that could meet our
needs.
There is potential for an extended contract beyond the business analysis
stage to cover the project management activities of this initiative
going forward for suitably qualified candidates; however this will be
part of a separate contract.
Deadline for Proposals to be received: 13 June 2016 by 12.00 noon.
The Invitation to Tender is available at:

Please circulate this notice to any potential interested parties.
