This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical statistician / data manager who is keen to develop a career in the growing field of health care performance assessment.
The Lindsay Stewart Centre for Audit and Clinical Informatics at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is seeking to appoint an experienced data manager/statistician to be part of a multidisciplinary team of staff conducting the new National Maternity and Perinatal Audit.
The National Maternity and Perinatal Audit will evaluate the quality of care received by women and newborns cared for by NHS maternity services in England, Wales and Scotland. Its aim is to compares the care provided and outcomes achieved by these units across a range of audit measures.
The role will involve designing and implementing statistical analyses and supporting the Audit’s data manager in managing and organising the linked national datasets. Another important task will be responding to information governance issues and further developing the secure environment for handling and analyse these datasets.
