The Faculty of Medicine is seeking a well-qualified and highly motivated individual in Quantitative Analysis to join a small team of researchers and statisticians. The postholder’s focus will be to assist with a review of individual randomised clinical trials undertaken in Primary Care in the last decade in order to quantify clustering at the General Practitioner and Practice levels. The postholder will identify eligible trials and available outcome measures and assist with data extraction and data analysis research.
The appointment will be part time 0.6FTE and is available for 6 months from the 1st July 2016, although a start date of 1 September 2016 would be considered. Salary: £28,982 pro rata, per annum
We invite applications from candidates who have a PhD or equivalent qualifications and experience in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Medical Statistics, Health Services Research or Psychology. You will have a detailed understanding and knowledge of statistical modelling and of packages for carrying out statistical modelling, e.g. Stata, SPSS, SAS. It is desirable that you have experience of data analysis. Meticulous attention to detail will be required in collating study data and organising results, and experience of writing reports and papers for publications is required. You will be able to organise your own activities to deadline and quality standards to ensure the efficient and timely completion of the Study.
