Internet addiction and young people – ACAMH conference, 24 June
The Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (ACAMH) is running a conference in Nottingham on 24 June focussing on internet addiction in young people.
The day will cover:
• How internet addiction relates to identity, interpersonal relationships and anxiety
• Research findings
• Possible preventions
• Interventions/treatment
• Examining real-life case studies.
The day is for all professionals who come into contact with youngsters who are at potential risk of becoming addicted to online pursuits, including teachers, educational psychologists, carers and CAMHS workers.
