JOB: Senior Statistician, Queen Mary University of London
Salary: £44,327 – £49,486 per annum

The Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU) in central London is part of the Centre for Cancer Prevention, which is at the forefront of international research into the prevention and control of cancer. We have particularly active research programmes in breast, endometrial, cervical, colorectal and prostate cancer prevention, cancer screening and statistical methods for clinical trials and epidemiology.
Applications are invited for a Senior Statistician who will undertake statistical analysis of treatment, screening and epidemiological studies, including solving problems in data analysis and statistical methods in centre-run studies. The Senior Statistician plays a major role as the first point of contact on a number of major external collaborations, and manages a small research team. The successful candidate will be expected to make research initiatives and original contributions to the research programme, and will have the opportunity to develop a growing reputation in their subject.
The post is full-time and indefinite with fixed term funding until 31st March 2019. Future funding of the post is determined by a 5-yearly performance review of the entire research programme by Cancer Research UK. Starting salary will be in the range £44,327 – £49,486 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
