The 18 papers in this Special Issue present data from multiple archipelagos across the world and from different disciplines within plant sciences, showing how much island biology has advanced since Sherwin Carlquist’s inspiring 1974 contribution Island Biology.
AoB PLANTS is an open-access, nonprofit journal established in 2010 and published by Oxford University Press. The journal has a strong focus on environmental and evolutionary biology and its current impact factor is 2.273.
