Motor Disruption in Autism: Insights for Practice, Intervention, and Research
You are warmly invited to join us for our first Moving in Autism seminar, to be held at the Technology and Innovation Centre at the University of Strathclyde on Thursday 2nd June. This multidisciplinary seminar will be of particular interest to those who work with autism or are interested in the role of movement for learning in child development and health, and its disruption.
This is a Scottish Government funded Innovation in Autism seminar to bring to light the motor disturbance in autism, and its implications for autism practice, intervention, and research. The event is supported by Autism Network Scotland, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, University of Strathclyde, and the Scottish Government.
We are fortunate to have some of the world’s best clinical and scientific expertise in autism motor disturbance to share with us their insights into its nature, to develop improved practice, and to stimulate ideas and interest for future research.
Guest speakers:
Liz Torres (Rutgers University, USA)
Filippo Muratori (University of Pisa, Italy)
Colwyn Trevarthen (University of Edinburgh, Scotland)
