Dear All,
This is a reminder that we have a few places left on the the next MAPLE meeting taking place in Explore York Archives and Libraries on the 16th May 2016 - book now<https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/maple-at-explore-york-tickets-22744863499>.
Explore York Archives and Local History opened on Monday 5th January 2015, following the completion of the building phase of their £1.6m Heritage Lottery Funded York: Gateway to History project. This meeting will allow MAPLE members to learn about the project, through a talk with Archivist, Victoria Hoyle and a tour of the new facility. Joining us at the meeting will be the new Digital Director of The National Archives, John Sheridan, who will talk about the new digital direction that The National Archives is taking. In the afternoon there will be the chance to talk about the progress of members projects.
The Major Archive Projects Learning Exchange<http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/archives-sector/maple.htm> (MAPLE) was set up in autumn 2007 to support organisations planning or managing large archive projects; primarily capital developments. This networking group, facilitated by The National Archives, provides a forum for organisations to share their experiences, knowledge and plans via an email list and through sharing documentation.
Book now at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/maple-at-explore-york-tickets-22744863499
Kind Regards
Jenny
