As Sheffield City Archives have (at least) a slide collection relating to the company- they might be a good starting point for tracking down at least the fate of the Archive.
Web search reveals the chap to have been an interesting man.

This is an opportunity to recommend the Consultants Tracker maintained by the Institution of Structural Engineers, which points one to successor firms. At which point further research becomes a lot easier.

In this case Husband & Co were acquired by Mott Macdonald. The latter featured in the study of architecture, building and construction (the ABC Survey), carried out by The National Archives between 2011 and 2013.
Records of Husband & Co were not identified specifically but an enquiry to Mott Macdonald’s headquarters in Croydon would seem to be your next step.

Subject: Whereabouts of the archives of Husband & Co
Dear Colleagues
Is anyone aware of the location of the archives of Husband and Co, Consulting Engineers? The company was set up by Charles Husband and throughout the 20th century undertook all types of engineering and construction work including the design of telescopes at Jodrell Bank radio astronomy observatory in Cheshire. I believe the company was based in Sheffield. I know that it also undertook work for Sheffield City Council and were consulting engineers for the bridge in the film ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’! It is their association with Jodrell Bank in which I am interested.
With regards
Elizabeth
