Hello
At Brunel, we list all 'cleared' students in the printed programme.
If a student defers we would list them in the ceremony they were originally invited to, aswell as the one they are deferring to.
We have separate conferral lists, which are lead by the award dates, and are used for audit purposes. The students would only appear on these once. These are not published.
Hope that's helpful
Kind regards
Fiona

Subject: Names in Graduation/Awards booklets
Dear All
We are still struggling with our move from January ceremonies being replaced with July & November. We have students who have been invited to July but we have said we will allow a deferral to November. Our practice would still be to put them in the July ceremony booklet (we never put them in another booklet if they couldn't make a January ceremony and came the following year- we just made sure they had a copy of the one with their name in too). However students are complaining they will not be in the November booklet. When you allow deferrals which booklet do you put them in or would you put them in both?
Look forward to hearing from you - ceremony this July and still no reports ready to provide us with our brochure!
best wishes
Val
