Trial Methodology
Starting salary: Grade 10 to be agreed (Professor) OR Grade 9 £49,230

Dependent upon qualifications and experience
This post is designed to support and further develop academic leadership
in the design and analysis of clinical trials within the Institute for
Primary Care and Health Sciences (iPCHS) and the Health Services
Research Unit (HSRU) at Keele University. You will work in partnership
with the Keele Research Design Service, Clinical Trials Unit and a team
of senior research staff (clinical researchers, statisticians,
epidemiologists, health economists) from our world-leading clinical
research groups in primary and secondary care. The post will provide
methodological leadership to grow, develop and deliver internationally
excellent research on the outcomes and clinical effectiveness of care
for pain and arthritis, common mental health conditions, cardiovascular
and renal disease, stroke and other morbidities. You will play a leading
role in our CTU and team of trial statisticians, based in iPCHS and
HSRU, to ensure high-quality statistical support across randomised
trials and other studies.
You will have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in medical or applied
statistics, or a related area relevant to clinical trials, and have
extensive experience of working as a statistician in applied health
research, with evidence of a strong reputation in medical statistics;
and a publication track record in the field of clinical trial
statistics, commensurate with a senior lecturer or professorial appointment.
