The Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit (CEU) within the Department of Public Health & Primary Care (one of Europe's leading academic departments of population health sciences) is an internationally recognised interdisciplinary group currently comprising >60 staff and students. We are seeking an experienced scientific coordinator who is eager to apply their skills to assisting in the coordination of the CEU’s portfolio of large-scale epidemiological studies.
The post holder’s primary role will be to support the Senior Scientific Coordinator (Dr Carmel Moore) in coordinating and project managing the CEU’s portfolio of epidemiological studies. The role will require relevant experience in scientific study coordination and the ability to work independently as well as part of a large team including principal investigators and senior managers, project managers, data managers, administrators and statisticians.
The post-holder should have (i) relevant scientific training (eg, Masters or PhD in relevant field) or equivalent experience; (ii) relevant experience in scientific study coordination; (iii) excellent verbal and written communication skills; (iv) Strong organisation skills and ability to judge priorities and; (v) knowledge of general principles of good clinical/research practice.
