Hello,
There are two recent monographs in English on serpent worship. More or
less all the previous relevant literature is there:
Charlesworth, James H. The Good and Evil Serpent: How a Universal
Symbol Became Christianized. New Haven, CT: Yale University Press,
2010.
Ogden, Daniel. Drakōn: Dragon Myth and Serpent Cult in the Greek and
Roman Worlds. Oxford; New York: Oxford University Press, 2013 (add the
companion Id. Dragons, Serpents, and Slayers in the Classical and
Early. Christian Worlds. A Sourcebook. New York: Oxford University
Press, 2013).
Best,
Dav
