Helen,
Was filename_cube001.sdf the cube you were trying to examine or some
previously displayed NDF? If it's the latter, it would suggest that
$HOME/.skycat/history is corrupted. Try moving this file first rather
than the whole $HOME/.skycat tree as you will lose other settings.
It's better to copy the directory, then if it's only one file that's
bad, you've not lost all your configuration. If it is indeed the
history file, just editing a line or two might work (specifically the
one with filename_cube001.sdf in), thereby preserving the uncorrupted
history.
