Technological innovation: Methodological innovation
23rd March 2016, 10.00 - 16.00, Julian Study Centre, UEA, Norwich
This advanced symposium, organised by the UEA Qualitative Research Forum, will aim to address two key questions in this area:
* In what ways can current qualitative methodologies investigate socio-technical change?
* What are the implications of new technologies and techniques for understanding power in research relationships?
The sessions will showcase and critically examine exemplars of qualitative research projects in this area undertaken at UEA and by other qualitative research groups in the United Kingdom.

These will centre on projects that have either been completed or are ongoing. Presenters will provide an overview of their study and then attendees will discuss in small groups how they would organise their research in this context. After 20 minutes the presenter will 'reveal' how they did it and talk about the pros and cons of the approach they took.
