We print to order on a series of photographs from our collection at Side Gallery in Newcastle. We do quality end digital prints with the scans prepared to deliver this, charging between £50 and £200, depending on size and whether the images are in the public domain or not. There is a demand, although nobody is going to get rich on it. Demand is focused on certain images and you can pretty much work out in advance which these will be. There is always going to be demand for images that relate to particular individuals (e.g. the street where they lived) - and here there probably wouldn’t be such an insistence on quality. At the same time, however, people might not be thinking of paying so much for it. If you want to charge a reasonable amount, you probably need to be able to deliver the kind of image someone would want on their wall, so it depends on what state the scans are in.
Best wishes,
Graeme
