Dear colleagues,
A new contribution has been made on the Debate Forum of URBAN REFUGEES, ‘All roads lead to Dar Es Salaam’, by Aisling O’Loghlen, Ph.D. researcher in Urban Studies at Heriot-Watt University, Scotland:
http://urban-refugees.org/debate/roads-lead-dar-es-salaam/
The piece explores how far should UNHCR’s advocacy of its urban refugee policy extend? And how should it interact with reluctant governments? The author looks briefly at the case of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and the challenges for the organisation, and the Tanzanian Government, in allowing refugees to live in the city.
Comments on the piece are welcome and can be made directly on the Debate Forum, in the ‘comments’ section.
Best wishes
The URBAN REFUGEES team
