Sound-Body-Movement - a symposium about live performance

Sound-Body-Movement is an exploration and discussion of the connection between sound and a range of other performance disciplines. The event will feature afternoon workshops, evening performances, and a panel discussion that will explore the theme of movement and gesture reflected across various media and aesthetic approaches including dance, drawing, performance art, theatre and participatory performance.
Participants include: Graham Dunning, Leslie Deere, Philipp Wachsmann, Catherine Hope-Jones, Freida Abtan (Goldmiths), Valerie Pezeron (UEL), Claudia Brazzale (UEL), Luis Sotelo (UEL), Live Hazard Collective, Michael Bunce (UEL) and Guy Harries (UEL/Trinity Laban Conservatoire) alongside UEL Performing Arts students.

The Centre for Performing Arts Development (CPAD) at the University of East London (UEL) is focused on developing original and innovative research in Performing Arts including Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies, Music, Dance and Creative Writing with a particular emphasis on socially engaged practices, performance philosophy and cultures, practice-based research, digital and interdisciplinary research.
