Dear all,
I have a 3year BBSRC funded postdoctoral position available in my lab to work on the mechanobiology of cell-matrix adhesions.
The full ad and further details can be found at;
http://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/AUD366/postdoctoral-research-associate/
> We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Post-Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) with skills in protein structural biology, particularly X-Ray Crystallography and NMR. The successful applicant will join a vibrant research group working on the structure and function of proteins involved in cell adhesion and migration. The successful applicant will be involved in a multi-disciplinary project focussed on the structural and biochemical characterisation of a number of newly identified protein:protein complexes that regulate integrin-mediated cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix. The structural insights gained will be used to design targeted mutations that perturb these protein:protein interactions which will then be tested in a cellular context. As cell-matrix adhesions are force-sensitive, the PDRA will also explore the mechanosensitivity of these interactions using novel in vitro single molecule approaches.
Please forward to anyone who you think might be interested/suitable.
I also attach a poster, in case any one is willing to advertise it for me in their departments.
Thanks!
Cheers
Ben
