in brief: The conclusion of the discussion was that there will be no boycotting of conferences, including CALOR. So people interested to go should submit abstracts, first to you and then to the conference. At the same time, we confirmed that CALICE is supporting the continuation of the CHEF series as a conference that covers all aspects (hardware, electronics, DAQ, reconstruction, simulation) related to highly granular calorimeters.
So the call for abstracts was not in vain, and you should keep following this up.
