Dear All,

The below writing retreat for sociologists may be of interest to ECRs and PGRs members of this group, although this opportunity is also open to academics at all stages of their career.

Please circulate widely.

Best wishes, Jenny

The Sociological Review Foundation Early Career Researchers (ECR) board are delighted to announce that we have commissioned Professor Rowena Murray to deliver a Writing Retreat for sociologists. The retreat is for academics at all stages of their career, but we especially encourage early career scholars to apply.
We have 14 places available. The retreat will be free of charge, and there are a number of travel bursaries available for early career researchers. (PhD students and postdoctoral researchers within 3 years of award of their PhD). The retreat will be held in the village of Gartmore, Scotland. All writing sessions and meals will be provided. Minibus transport will be provided between Glasgow train station and the hotel.
