Aim and Scope of the residential boot camp in Visual Analytics
Middlesex University will be hosting VASS2016 at their Hendon Campus in North London. The aim of VASS2016 is to promote learning and networking in the emerging field of Visual Analytics. Over four days, international researchers and expert practitioners will lead students through a series of lectures, hands-on group exercises and software lab classes in Reasoning and Sensemaking, Visualisation Design and Data Analytics. Delegates will be set a group investigation and design challenge. VASS always include a lively social programme.

Audience
The VASS is intended for participants from industry, government and post-graduate students with an interest in the area. Programming is not a requirement although a high level of IT literacy is essential.
Fees
Thanks to support from DSTL & VALCRI we are able to charge nominal fees:
- £400 (non-student fee)
- £200 (student fee)
Delegates will receive hotel accommodation, lunch and refreshments on teaching days, plus a social dinner.
