INTRODUCTION
Nowadays there are several technologies and systems to collect data in
real-time. Consequently the amount of data available electronically is
huge, what makes the use of semi-autonomous techniques imperative in
order to create new knowledge and support the decision-making process.
In this context arises the Data Science concept.
DS4IDS intends to promote the discussion and the dissemination of
emergent trends, new projects and contributions about applied data
science in order to support the decision process. By bringing together
researchers from distinct areas is expected to present new artefacts
with scientific and societal contributions.
The motto of this track is "Data Science allows Intelligent Decision
Support" and we are inviting the community to share this vision.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
Innovative and exciting works are welcome in areas including but not
limited to:
Applied Data Science (to various domains, e.g. health, medicine,
marketing, government, accounting, financing, management);

PAPER SUBMISSION
To submit a paper, please connect to the Submission site from the link
available at the ICCSA 2016 web site: http://ess.iccsa.org
Only papers submitted through the electronic system and strictly
adhering to the relevant format will be considered for reviewing and
publication.
The submission may fall into the following category: Special
Session/Workshop Papers and the workshop. Then select DS4IDS - Data
Science for Intelligent Decision Support Workshop.
The submitted paper must be between 10 and 16 pages long for LNCS
publication and should be formatted according to the LNCS rules. Please
consult the URL http://www.iccsa.org/authors-instructions for formatting
information and templates.
Each paper must deal with original and unpublished work, not submitted
for publication elsewhere (copyright problems fall entirely under
responsibility of the authors). Each paper will be reviewed by at least
three experts in the relevant field.
When a paper is accepted at least one of the authors has to register to
the conference and deliver the related talk. Failure to do so shall lead
to rejection of the application to attend next year conference and the
exclusion of the paper for the current year proceedings.
