To make a leading contribution to the ESRC-NSFC (China) jointly funded project: The Re-Making of Chinese Urban Neighbourhoods: Socio-Spatial Transformation and Access to Public Services. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in the area of spatial and social changes in contemporary Chinese cities from the perspectives of human geography, urban planning, urban studies, public policy or other relevant social science disciplines. The post-holder will also be required to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research publications as well as to help manager and direct this complex and challenging project. The job will be based in Glasgow but will require travel to China and elsewhere as required by the project as opportunities allow.
