Subject: Re: Magnification and Citrix Xen Desktop 7.6
Hi all,
Claire's question poses interesting questions about incorporating inclusivity into forward planning (especially in the context of refurbishment and new build). Like Claire, I'd be really interested in hearing if other institutions have deployed thin client and managed to resolve issues where some assistive technologies have been incompatible.
I also wondered if any other institutions are using other models of virtualisation to support access to assistive/enabling technologies and if so what levels of success or issues have they experienced?

Subject: Magnification and Citrix Xen Desktop 7.6
Hi
Our new build College is deploying thin client technology. We are wondering whether anyone has resolved magnification issues using the virtual desktop - Citrix Xen Desktop 7.6. Currently we cannot get MAGic, Zoomtext or the docked lens magnifier in the Ease of Access settings to work. We can deploy laptops for our visually impaired students but would rather try and resolve problems on the thin client system if possible.
Kind regards
Claire
