Statistics Analyst / Data Manager
The Investment Association | London
The Investment Association is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support its statistics team and, in particular, help compile the IA’s statistics of the funds industry. The role therefore requires strong numerical and analytical skills and the ability to manage relationships with data providers. Software skills will also be needed as some time will be spent on writing and amending complex macros.
You should have experience working with numbers, and whilst you will need an interest in the financial markets, you do not need to have worked in the financial sector.
You will be working within a small but experienced team at the IA offices in central London. You will be required to liaise with member firms, with other data owners, and with other staff in the IA.
You are likely to have a good education, with some experience of the collection of statistics, working with data suppliers and producing statistical reports. You will have an excellent eye for detail, flexibility and a strong sense of self-direction. While you will be operating within a wider team, working on your own to pursue specific tasks will also be important. VB skills are essential to undertake some basic programming tasks.
