Do what I did once (but only once and never again). Leave a bottle of sparkling wine to chill in the freezer for half an hour or so, and then forget about it completely. Return 24 hours later, get the bottle out of the freezer and uncork it. You will then have your own indoor alcoholic snowstorm. Sparkling mineral water would probably work out cheaper and not so messy.
