Hi,
Our CMS does not (yet) have a decent versioning system and we are aware that, with the recently introduced Consumer Rights Act (Oct 2015), there may be a need to prove that it said a certain thing on a certain date.
While there are free services like the Wayback Machine or the the UKWA (http://www.webarchive.org.uk/ukwa/) these do not archive regularly enough to be relied upon.
Therefore we are looking at paid-for services such as https://archive-it.org/ - this doesn’t cost a huge amount (c.$4,000/year for our entire site to be archived monthly) and means we have an independent untamperable-by-us archive that we can browse or search.
I’d be very interested to know what others do in this area. Are you regularly archiving parts of your site (or all of it)? Or do you have suitable versioning within your CMS? What do you use for archiving?
Many thanks,
Graham
