You are warmly invited to participate in a roundtable entitled "The Urban Transport Crisis in Emerging Economies" which will take place at the IV World Planning School Congress (WPSC), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 3-8 July 2016, Track 15 - Transportation and Infrastructure Planning.
The roundtable will focus on urban transport issues, policies, and initiatives in some of the world's major emerging economies. Also, a new book will be presented: "The Urban Transport Crisis in Emerging Economies," co-edited by the roundtable organizers (Dorina Pojani and Dominic Stead) and to be published by Springer later this year. The book discuses urban transport issues in twelve countries: Brazil, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, and Vietnam - through dedicated chapters on each. Some of the volume contributors will participate in the roundtable.
Please consult the congress preliminary program <http://www.wpsc2016.com.br/program.html#program-at-a-glance>. The roundtables will be held in the late afternoon, from 18:30 to 20:30, on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
We hope to see you there!
