Dear SNoMS list-members,
Our colleagues at the University of Dundee have rescheduled their Afterlives: Remediation in Word and Image conference, under the auspices of the Scottish Word and Image group. It will now be held in May of this year, and their keynote speaker will be the extremely influential film theorist Laura Mulvey.
The deadline for papers - I'm sure they'd also be open to full panel proposals - is March 13th. They are keen to solicit abstracts from a range of disciplinary backgrounds, and particularly proposals that engage directly with the work of Laura Mulvey and /or the themes of the conference. But if you have any questions, or want to discuss how your research might fit in with the conference, do feel free to contact the team directly on [log in to unmask]
As when the event was first announced, this strikes me as a great opportunity for SNoMS members to showcase some of our innovative work, and I encourage you to use the list to seek out the like-minded if you are interested in putting together a panel.
Best wishes
Alex
