We are currently seeking a Permanent Senior Records Manager to design and implement an information architecture and establish a records management programme across the Commission that meets the needs of the organisation.
Salary :This exciting post attracts a salary range of £41,600 - £52,000 per annum, plus generous pension plan and annual leave.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
• Creates and implements an information structure that meets the needs of the organisation and works across the core systems. This will include a business classification scheme, corporate taxonomy, keyword lists and information workflow design
• Ensures ownership and responsibility for managing Commission information is clearly established and that records are available and accessible to staff to allow them to carry out their work
• Develops and administers records management policies and procedures designed to facilitate efficient handling of key business records, standardize filing, protecting and retrieving records, creating retention and disposal schedules
• In conjunction with the Commission's Archivist, develops digital asset management policies and procedures
• Ensures the regulatory and legislative requirements for records management and digital asset management are met
• Identifies champion holders of key records information across the Commission to ensure that consistent guidance and procedures are observed
• Provides information required by stakeholders and the Public in an efficient and timely way
• Co-ordinates communications and training support plans and initiatives
• Maintains the integrity of the Commission's casualty records
• Maintains continuing professional development in records management through the IRMS or other relevant professional bodies
• Keeps informed of current trends and standards in records and electronic document management
• Ensures all projects are delivered in line with the Commission's project management standards and processes
