Thanks. I'll give that a try. This sounds like a generic ROOT dictionary generation issue, right? I'm just wondering who to bug about their installation docs. Seems odd that ROOT would build and install just fine, but never check to see that a library it needed to generate dictionaries wasn't installed.
By the way, do you have an automated build system with a list of platforms you regularly test on? It'd be nice to see those results. It also seems like there are some assumptions made about the local toolset. For example, it expects quota to exist, but doesn't. I could install that and make that warning go away, but I'd prefer not to if it's not essential. Also this is a build from a tarball, so obviously isn't a working copy of the repo. It'd be kinda nice to suppress those warning messages if possible.
There are other issues, but I'll send those in a separate post.
