A PhD position is immediately available in the group of Prof. Wolfgang E. Ernst. The candidate will work on the project “formation of mixed metal complexes in superfluid helium droplets and their deposition on solid surfaces”.

Successful candidates with a master degree in physics or physical chemistry should have good knowledge of the physics of molecules and surfaces and experience with lasers and molecular beams or surface techniques. Both experimental and theoretical aspects of the project are covered in the group and working together with the team is an absolute necessity.
This university position (“Assistant/Assistentin ohne Doktorat”) requires some amount of teaching in laboratory or recitation courses in German language. The Austrian university payscale for scientific staff is applied. Citizenship in one of the EU or EU associated countries is a necessary requirement.
