Dear Natasha,
You could try 'African', 'Black African', 'African origin', 'African British', 'sub-Saharan Africa' (and individual country origins, e.g. 'Nigerian', 'Ghanaian', 'Somali', 'Zimbabwean' etc. (or the equivalent countries of birth)) in Boolean searches that include geographical terms ('United Kingdom', 'Britain', 'London', etc.). Without the geographical identifiers 'Black African' mainly accesses 'Black African-American' (and will probably continue to pick up some such examples, even with the appropriate geographical identifiers).
regards,
Peter

Subject: UK Health Policies re African Diaspora
Hello, I am looking for information on UK health policies to address health inequalities among the African diaspora, but my searches seem to be inundated with information from the United States. I wondering if there are other key words I should be using that are more commonly used in the UK? Many thanks for any insight or leads.
